Keep the momentum going on your long-form prose work in fiction or nonfiction by joining me for this summer course, at the Graham School of Continuing Liberal and Professional Studies at the University of Chicago. "Designed for writers of long-form narrative (including novels and memoirs), this workshop will help you develop and hone your book-length work. As a mixed-genre class, you will have the opportunity to learn from a wide range of styles, techniques and voices. Whether you are in the early stages of drafting or on one of several revisions, use this workshop to heighten your telling, build on story elements and keep moving your manuscript forward."

Dynamic Dialogue at Women and Children First
Join me for this evening workshop while I share strategies to create more vivid, informative, and compelling dialogue. We'll discuss what dialogue accomplishes more efficiently than narrative, how and when to use taglines, and tips for developing your ear for dialogue Short exercises and the examination of short stories will help participants identify dialogue that hits the mark. $30.00 payable to Plume Writing Studios.
